Job Summary
The
Senior Software Developer
is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of tools to support enterprise data utilization. This role ensures data integrity, optimizes data architecture, and supports the organization's data-driven decision-making processes. The analyst collaborates with stakeholders across departments to assess data needs, develop reporting solutions, and enhance data management practices to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain tools to support enterprise data utilization. Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data-driven solutions. Optimize and enhance existing data structures, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security. Develop and manage dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support business intelligence and strategic initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity and performance issues within data warehouse and reporting platforms. Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements related to data security and privacy. Provide training and documentation for end-users. Collaborate with IT teams, data engineers, and business units to integrate new data sources and enhance system functionality. Lead or mentor junior analysts, developers, and data engineers. Provide technical guidance and best practices in data management and usage. Coordinates activities of project team on an inter- and intra-departmental basis as required. Create and submit weekly status reports Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years of experience in working with an ERP, BI, or data warehouse application Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, often ambiguous and event driven environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Maintain a consistent, high quality, customer-focused orientation when developing and supporting services for both internal and external users. Treat customers, staff and co-workers with respect, courtesy and tact; listen well and maintain a professional relationship. Provide clear, accurate information; explain procedures or materials or provide supplemental information; anticipate problems and questions. Maintain a high level of knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of administrative services and information technology by reading appropriate publications and attending related seminars, conferences, etc. Attend relevant training seminars as permitted by workload and budget constraints Must be flexible, well-organized, and team oriented. Must be able to work on a schedule that includes nights, weekends or holidays when required to address escalated issues. Must be able to travel as needed, including several consecutive overnight stays where applicable, to support organizational objectives and initiatives.
