- Washington, DC In office Professional Services Role: This dual-role position combines front desk reception duties with catering support to ensure a welcoming office environment and seamless event operations. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities: Reception Duties: Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees with a positive and professional demeanor, directing them to the appropriate person or department. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, taking messages as needed. Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, ensuring necessary supplies (e.g., pens, forms, brochures) are stocked. Catering Duties: Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting ingredients, and preparing simple dishes or beverages under the direction of the catering manager or chef. Set up dining and buffet areas for meetings or events, arranging tables, chairs, and tableware as per instructions. Manage inventory of catering supplies, restock as needed, and place orders for new stock. Serve food and beverages to guests during events, clear tables, and respond to guest inquiries or complaints professionally. Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety and health regulations. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (e.g., food handlers license) are a plus. Proven experience in reception, office administration, or catering/hospitality is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, guests, and team members. Compensation: $30-40/hr
