Software Developer
To design, develop and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Perform core Java development involved in the full software development life cycle of changes from analysis and design through to implementation and third line support. Deliver technical and business driven software solutions. Design, implement, and test software applications with high throughout low latency. Implement Oracle database related features such as ad hoc queries and reports. Analyze requirements and liaise with Quality Analysts and Business Analysts to implement features and debug the applications. Implement features and debug the front-end windows GUI application. Facilitate communication between Barclays distributed application layers. Practice continuous integration and continuous delivery of software to WA and production. Perform code reviews to ensure implemented functionality matches expectations and is in line with coding standards. Assist with the investigation of production issues. May telecommute. Minimum Salary: $123,656 per year Maximum Salary: $135,000 per year The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
