Job Title: BMS Programmer (DDC Programmer)

Location: Tigard, OR or Vancouver, WA

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $90,000-$115,000+ DOE, plus benefits

About the Role:

HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Building Management Systems Programmer to join a growing building automation team. This role focuses on designing, programming, and troubleshooting building automation systems for commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in DDC programming, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience implementing smart, energy-efficient building solutions.

Responsibilities:

Program and configure DDC systems for HVAC and other building automation controls. Develop and implement control sequences to ensure efficient system operation. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians for successful system integration and commissioning. Integrate systems via BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols. Perform system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting. Write, modify, and adjust programming to meet client specifications. Conduct commissioning, training, and system integration both onsite and virtually. Document control programs and maintain accurate system records. Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience in DDC programming for building automation systems. Proficiency with common building automation platforms (e.g., Alerton, Niagara, Distech). Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and BAS software. Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and related communication protocols. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong interpretation skills for technical documents, sequences of operations, and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and BlueBeam; Procore experience a plus. Preferred Skills (not required)

Certifications such as Alerton ACE, Niagara N4, or Distech programming. Low voltage electrical license. Background in HVAC service, mechanical construction, or maintenance. Formal HVAC degree or training. Benefits
