Sr. Software Development Engineer
CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Parsippany, NJ. The position is for a Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop digital software applications and platforms. Duties include analyzing user needs and developing software solutions to meet business requirements; determining feasibility of solutions design and preparing technical design documentation; upgrading existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; writing and reviewing high quality code and performing unit and/or automation testing; supporting applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; collaborating with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices; and mentoring junior team members. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions. Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience with each of the following: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps; Java, Python, or Node.js; XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; ATG Commerce or Spring Boot microservices; REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs; JIRA, Rally, or Confluence; Software development lifecycle (SDLC); Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting; Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions; Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes; and working with UI/UX teams to develop wireframes and prototypes based on end user feedback and human centered design.
