Technical Sales Representative - OEM Position Overview: As a
Technical Sales Representative - OEM , you bring advanced technical knowledge and practical experience in welding and thermal spray technologies, enabling you to provide high-value products and solutions tailored to the needs of OEM clients. What You’ll Do: Business Development: Identify and pursue new OEM customers.
Create and execute strategic sales plans to grow new and existing accounts.
Build strong, trusted relationships with OEM customers and key stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance to help end-users reduce wear and equipment failure.
Collaborate with technical and product teams to align solutions with customer needs.
Offer hands-on technical support and troubleshooting.
Understand, assess, and validate customer needs proactively.
Resolve customer issues and manage escalations quickly and effectively.
Negotiate deals and manage key account relationships.
Meet sales targets and support strategic growth goals.
Forecast and track key account metrics.
Travel to customer sites (50%–70%).
Contribute to the development of a
Strategic Growth Plan
aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
Identify and communicate critical business issues, collaborating with internal teams to resolve them.
Represent the company at
trade shows, conferences, and industry events .
Keep documentation updated in
CRM
and submit
weekly expense reports .
Perform additional duties as required.
What You’ll Bring: Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred in
Materials
or
Mechanical
Engineering.
Experience:
5-10 years of relevant
industrial sales experience
in wear services or related industries.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of
welding solutions, thermal spray solutions
and
wear management solutions
used in heavy industries.
5+ years of experience selling to OEM customers
Advanced technical knowledge
Hunter mentality with
cold-calling experience .
Knowledge of
key industry clients
and their market position.
Mechanical aptitude and basic print reading skills.
Proficiency with
Microsoft Office Suite .
Strong
consultative communication skills .
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized with
effective time management .
Ability to travel 50-70%
