Tax Manager

Are you a tax professional ready to step into a high-impact role supporting a complex, multi-entity U.S. business structure? A leading global industrial and technology company is seeking a Tax Manager to join their dynamic U.S. Tax Department. This role offers the opportunity to support over 60 U.S. legal entities within a larger multinational enterprise.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a critical role in both compliance (60%) and provision (40%) activities, helping consolidate and manage tax operations across a diverse portfolio of domestic businesses. Expect a high degree of complexity, different ERP systems, and the opportunity to own and lead parts of the process.

You’ll partner directly with senior leadership, including a Senior VP/CFO, and report into a highly collaborative and inquisitive Director of Tax known for valuing mature, detail-oriented, and independent thinkers .

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns , consolidated and separate.
• Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions , including current/deferred tax, true-ups, valuation allowances, and FIN 48 positions.
• Coordinate intercompany allocations and pro forma returns .
• Respond to IRS and state audits and tax notices.
• Conduct technical research and provide recommendations on complex tax matters.
• Collaborate with Shared Services teams and multiple businesses operating on standalone systems .

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax; CPA highly preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in multinational consolidated environments.
• Strong command of Thomson Reuters OneSource — must-have due to heavy internal use.
• Experience handling disregarded entities , intercompany transactions, and multi-state compliance.
• Ability to confidently own processes in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
• An analytical mindset with excellent communication and documentation skills.
• A “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude — comfortable navigating complexity across disparate systems.
