Job Opportunity - Mechanical Engineer - Automotive/EV Design - Northeast Bay Area

I'm looking for a Mechanical Engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to see their designs come to life. In this role, you’ll take ideas from concept to prototype to production, working hands-on with both engineering tools and real-world manufacturing lines.

What you’ll do:

Design & develop mechanical systems and components
Lead projects from sketch through production launch, full product lifecycle
Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline design into manufacturing
Coordinate development & maintenance of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy across designs, assembly instructions, and test reports.
Solve problems on the fly and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications:

BSc Mechanical Engineering or related w/ at least 5 years industry experience (OEM, prototyping, NPI experience preferred)
Hands-on mechanical design experience, ideally with full product lifecycle
Startup mindset: adaptable, resourceful, collaborative
Manufacturing line know-how

Bonus skills: EV systems knowledge, PE license, or a passion for automotive builds.
