Electrical Controls Engineer / Electrical Engineer/Controls Engineer
Greater Chicagoland Area | Full-Time | On-Site/Flex Do you thrive in a hands-on engineering environment where custom-built systems come to life? My client, a trusted leader in engineered-to-order material handling equipment, is looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, and support electrical systems for complex capital equipment and automation projects.
This is a full-time role with on-site presence and a flexible arrangement which is ideal for an engineer who enjoys cross-disciplinary collaboration and tackling real-world control system challenges. Why You Should Apply

Design electrical controls, wiring diagrams, and schematics using AutoCAD Develop control panel layouts, PLC logic, and system documentation Select components including motors, drives, relays, HMIs, and sensors Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production teams, and customers Support assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment on-site Maintain alignment with industry codes (UL, NEC, NFPA79, etc.) About You
Be able to do the job as described Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required Experience designing and programming industrial control systems Familiar with AutoCAD Electrical and PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley preferred) Comfortable working with high voltage equipment and motor controls Strong communication skills and ability to support shop floor and field teams How To Apply
