in Coronado, CA. This position will work within the government site onboard NAS North Island, supporting the NATEC Quality Assurance (QA) team. The role includes providing government NMCI assets and may offer telework options depending on contract and government TOCOR approval. The responsibilities include: Assisting the Quality Control Program to ensure continuous service delivery that is consistent and compliant with performance standards outlined in policy 4790. Providing guidance to contractors and government entities (Aircraft Program Offices) on QA performance, specifications, and compliance throughout development, acquisition, and evaluation of technical publications. Conducting In-Process Reviews (IPRs), validations, and verifications of technical manuals (TM/ETM), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs). Reviewing Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) manuals for specification compliance. Assisting NAVAIR leadership in establishing and updating QA instructions and procedures to standardize QA compliance across the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE). Documenting and presenting results with recommended corrective actions to address deficiencies, ensuring standards are met. Interacting with customers verbally and in writing regarding concerns and performance issues. Resolving data processing problems, coordinating with programs and users, and orienting personnel on new or updated procedures. Conducting special projects like data standardization, with work reviewed for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. The pay rate is $29.01 per hour. Minimum qualifications include: High School diploma or GED At least three (3) years of related experience in technical writing, quality assurance, and documentation support Experience with technical publications (paper, electronic, IETMs) Effective communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of QA functions Organizational and planning skills Problem-solving skills Attention to detail Additional requirements: U.S. citizenship Active secret clearance Preferred knowledge and experience include: Experience with NAVAIR, S1000D, MIL-STD-3001, MIL-STD-81310, MIL-DTL-81927, and MIL-STD-38784 Military or technical publication experience with various formats CTPL experience Technical documentation tools such as EAGLE CSDB, PTC Arbortext, MS Office Suite, Notepad++, Perl, VGMT, Merlin, NSIV, Corel Designer, PTC IsoDraw, and PaintShop Pro Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain consistent 40-hour work weeks
