Our client seeks a purpose-driven

Senior Program Manager

to lead high-impact initiatives within public engagement and community outreach. The Senior Program Manager plays a critical part in shaping strategy and delivering programs that advance climate action, community resilience, housing equity, and environmental justice. Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in public engagement and stakeholder outreach, along with a proven track record of managing complex, cross-sector projects. This position is remote with some travel to Sacramento, and other locations in CA.

Pay: $54.00-$60.00 per hour

(DOE). This is a

temp-to-hire

position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead strategy, implementation, and evaluation of sustainability and resilience programs, including resource development and project oversight Manage complex initiatives involving budgets, contracts, deliverables, and cross-functional staff coordination Facilitate inclusive community engagement through meetings, workshops, and stakeholder outreach on climate, housing, and equity issues Deliver training, technical assistance, and subject matter expertise to local governments and regional partners Drive fundraising and business development efforts through grants, proposals, and strategic partnerships Supervise and mentor staff while promoting the values of collaboration, equity, and servant leadership SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

7+ years of progressive experience in program management, sustainability, public policy, or related fields Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in relevant fields preferred Expertise in climate action, environmental justice, housing, resilience, or community development Proven success in program development, project oversight, and grant administration Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders and simplify complex topics Familiarity with equity-centered engagement, sustainability policies, and fundraising strategies
