ABOUT THE ROLE Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, is excited to announce openings for a Night Shift Senior Plant Mechanic to enhance operations at our Rockville Quarry in Rockville, Maryland. This role is crucial for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of fixed electrical and mechanical equipment, systems, and machinery. The standard work hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a possibility of overtime and shift adjustments based on business needs. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Exhibit a strong commitment to safety through effective communication and adherence to safety policies in all work settings. Perform inspections of plant equipment and execute necessary repairs and modifications, reporting findings to the Area Manager. Follow all safety, environmental, and company protocols while completing daily tasks and submit necessary paperwork promptly. Efficiently manage work orders, including installations, repairs, and fabrication of metal materials, ensuring safety and addressing immediate concerns. Utilize heavy machinery to assemble or repair metal components as needed. Conduct inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance for both fixed and mobile equipment. Oversee the preparation and welding of steel and aluminum structures, appendages, and equipment. Carry out routine preventative maintenance with a focus on welding repairs. Document and report findings from inspections of both plant and mobile equipment to the Area Manager. Manage plant reports and maintain an inventory of frequently used repair supplies and equipment. Assist team members with tasks to support their work activities. Respond to emergencies and perform required repairs to production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime during breakdowns. Maintain the work environment, tools, equipment, and vehicles for optimal safety and availability. Rebuild or fabricate parts and manage repairs of electrical equipment. Other related tasks as assigned. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education:

High school diploma or GED is required. Preferred Field of Study:

Technical certification or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or related fields. Required Work Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of experience is essential. Travel Requirements:

Not applicable. Additional Requirements: Candidates must strictly adhere to safety protocols and appropriately use Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to succeed in fit tests.
