Job Description
Position Overview:
The primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. This broad primary role can be divided into three smaller, more manageable roles: Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management. Additionally, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for all auxiliary aspects of the maintenance systems including CMMS, MRO, MRP, IT and non-production planning.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist multi-site manufacturing facilities with start-up and validation of new products.
Works with plant leadership to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for adhering to the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of assets.
Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes:
Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility the Maintenance Planner applies:
Data analysis techniques that can include:
Statistical Process Control
Reliability modeling and prediction
Fault Tree Analysis
Weibull Tree Analysis
Six Sigma (6s) Methodology
Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
Works with Production to perform analyses of assets including:
Asset Utilization
Overall Equipment Effectiveness
Remaining useful life
Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets
Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
Manages MRO plant functions with responsibilities of:
Spare parts readiness
MRO fulfilment
Maintenance planning
Capital Project planning
Act as the lead technical liaison across various account assignments.
Oversee Information Technology department and Administors.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent experience/studies.
Experience: knowledge of injection molding and/or stretch blow molding machinery and process with PET plastics.
2 years' experience in a manufacturing facility.
Valid driver's license and transportation for multi-site access.
Travel 10-20%
Experience in statistical analysis and process control and stability.
Computer skills including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage complex projects from conceptualization through commercialization.
The ability to prioritize requests and manage time efficiently can be challenging. Multi-tasking is an everyday occurrence and requires total commitment to the tasks at hand.
Strong team contributor with common goals and practices, build new skills and capabilities
English language fluency is required.
