Summary

Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, the Business Process Automation Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of forms and automated processes within the credit union's core banking platform and related applications. This role supports the efficient operation of the core system by creating custom forms, streamlining workflows, automating routine processes, and maintaining documentation. The Specialist provides technical support, works closely with internal teams to identify areas for improvement, and ensures form-related solutions align with business needs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain electronic forms in the Jack Henry Symitar PowerFrame environment, including version control. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure forms are effectively integrated and tailored to end-user needs.

2. Develop and support process automation to improve efficiency for core-related solutions, including data analysis and process evaluation. Maintain documentation for all core systems and solutions. Follow change management procedures by submitting and tracking change requests.

3. Handle daily data processing, period-end processing, and ensure backups and system maintenance. Also, implement core system projects as assigned.

4. Manage vendor communications, report core system issues to management, and assist with disaster recovery testing and implementation.

5. Assist with implementing core system software updates, coordinating with internal and external teams for successful changes in both test and production environments. Manage release schedules for vendor applications and ensure updates and enhancements follow proper change management protocols.

6. Provide excellent service and support for core-related applications, troubleshooting issues, recommending solutions or workarounds, and managing system controls to align with business objectives.

7. Represents the Credit Union to the member in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Has working knowledge of the services offered by the Credit Union. Understands, promotes and adheres to the policies of the Credit Union. Practices confidentiality as indicated in employee matters and Credit Union operations.

8. Weekend and extended shifts are required for updates, upgrades, project rollouts and maintenance as needed. Available for after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration (with IT experience) required. 5-8 years of similar or related experience in application support or systems administration, financial services/credit union environments, troubleshooting client-server applications and user issues. Familiarity with core banking systems including Jack Henry Symitar (PowerFrame, Enterprise Workflow, Synergy) preferred. Strong analytical, process mapping, and problem-solving skills Ability to develop documentation and provide user training Familiarity with integrating JavaScript into third party platforms, including Symitar PowerFrame, is a plus. Working knowledge of Credit Union operations and needs. Knowledge of software design principles and methods. Proficiency in JavaScript for troubleshooting, enhancing, and maintaining client -and server-side scripts within web-based applications. Ability to debug and modify existing JavaScript code used in form validation, dynamic content rendering, and workflow automation. Programming & Technical Skills Qualifications

Proficient in basic scripting or SQL, Python, similar languages. Skilled in troubleshooting application issues through log analysis, scripts, and backend processes. Familiar with process mapping and business analysis. Comfortable collaborating with developers to replicate, diagnose, and escalate complex technical problems.
