Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement activities and ensure that all purchasing processes run smoothly. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing team, developing and implementing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, product development, marketing, and the procurement process. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and finance, and people management.

Responsibilities:

Identifying products to be purchased

Verifying the key suppliers for each procurement

Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identifying costs

Overseeing daily activities of the purchasing department, including delegating tasks and supervising the team.

Develop and implement purchasing strategies

Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought stock meets company standards

Managing procurement budget and preparing cost estimates

Review and analyze processes to reduce overall departmental costs

Review and analyze processes to reduce slow moving items and associated costs.

Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

5 years’ experience in importing and exporting goods

5+ years'purchasing experience in the cookware/kitchenware industry required

Strong negotiation skills

Ability to develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes.

5 Years experience overseeing a team and projects

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Certification in supply chain management or purchasing.

Experience in cost reduction and supply management.

Experience in supplier management and purchase orders.

Ability to multitask

Skills:

As a Purchasing Manager, you will utilize your skills in supply chain management, materials management, and vendor negotiations on a daily basis. You will also need to have strong skills in cost reduction, purchase orders, and supplier management to ensure that our company obtains quality products at competitive prices. Your ability to develop and implement purchasing strategies will be crucial in optimizing our procurement processes and achieving our business goals.
