Job Summary: The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring goods, materials, and services essential to the company's construction and administrative operations. This role supports project managers, superintendents, and department leads by managing vendor relationships, tracking supply inventory, and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating with both internal teams and external suppliers to support procurement needs for multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Source, order, and track materials, tools, and equipment across multiple departments and job sites Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and terms with vendors to meet budget and schedule requirements Create purchase orders, confirm receipts, and reconcile against vendor invoices Monitor and maintain minimum inventory levels of critical supplies and proactively reorder when needed Collaborate with Project Managers and Foremen to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of materials Coordinate shipping logistics and troubleshoot any delivery discrepancies or delays Maintain procurement records, including price history, vendor performance, and contract compliance Analyze vendor performance and suggest process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and budgeting guidelines Assist with equipment rental agreements and return logistics Submit and follow up on credit applications with vendors Support finance team with cost tracking, invoice reconciliation, and expense reporting Other duties as assigned Education/Certifications/Licenses

High School Diploma or GED required Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain Experience

3-5 years of procurement or purchasing experience in construction, manufacturing, or logistics Familiarity with vendor contract negotiation, cost tracking, and purchasing procedures Experience using inventory management or ERP software preferred Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and terminology a plus Required Skills/Abilities

Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control principles Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines Ability to build rapport with vendors, negotiate effectively, and resolve issues professionally Familiarity with purchase order systems, shipping logistics, and budgeting Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment Physical Demands/Working Environment

Physical Demands Light to Medium Work. Exerting up to 11 - 50 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Capable of driving a vehicle

Working Environment Work primarily in a warehouse environment and occasionally outdoors May be exposed to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs
