Reports directly to the owner. The estimator / PM is responsible for estimating commercial
Millwork
construction projects, including subcontractor scope definition activities. They are responsible for providing accurate estimates to enable clients to make well-informed decisions. Job Qualifications Experience in commercial millwork construction required. Working knowledge of building systems / components. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. Ability to read specifications, plan designs, and details. Experience in commercial millwork project management. Strong math and analytical skills. Strong organization, documentation, computer, and communication skills. Position Responsibilities Perform detailed quantity take-offs with scope sheets for purchasing. Prepare time, cost, and labor estimates by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and RFPs. Evaluate bid specifications and drawings. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits. Participate in estimate reconciliations. Participate in the interview process as required for project awards. Build detailed estimates and understand how to develop them for millwork projects. Assist in presenting estimates to clients. Communicate with owners, architects, and project teams. Foster teamwork.
