The Banquet Set-Up Attendant, under the supervision of the Banquet Captain, is responsible for the timely and accurate arrangement and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other furnishings for banquet events. This role ensures each room is prepared according to floor plans and event specifications, often requiring multiple setups and takedowns in a single day. Attendants must maintain cleanliness in banquet areas, work efficiently under changing circumstances, and adjust quickly to last-minute changes or revised layouts. The position demands strong teamwork and communication skills to support smooth event operations in coordination with other banquet staff.

Candidates should have the ability to read floor plans, follow instructions, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. While formal education is not required, a high school diploma or GED and prior experience in banquet setup is preferred. The role is physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential. Although the position does not carry supervisory responsibilities, it is a key support role in ensuring the success of each banquet event.
