What will you do:
Billing and Claims Management:
Prepare and submit bills to Medicare, Medicaid, and other private insurance companies. Evaluate, research, and resubmit denied or unpaid claims to ensure timely payment.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:
Track and manage aged accounts receivables, ensuring efficient collection and accounts reconciliation.
Compliance:
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of government billing regulations (Medicare, Medicaid) and payer contract provisions.
System Maintenance:
Maintain billing and patient account record systems in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory guidelines.
Payment Posting:
Track and post payments and adjustments accurately to patient accounts.
Payer Relations:
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, family members, payers, and referral sources.
Must have:
Billing Software Proficiency:
Experience with billing and EHR systems
Knowledge of Medical Billing:
Familiarity with medical terminology, healthcare coding, and billing practices.
Regulatory Understanding:
A strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer regulations.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze financial reports, track AR, and identify trends for process improvement.
Communication Skills:
The ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and insurance providers.
