Description

Responsibilities: Perform specialized maintenance (Kiln & Mills controls, Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Non-Destructive Testing, Gear Inspections, etc.) Develop and propose Preventive, Predictive and Autonomous Maintenance plans for equipment, specifying and updating frequency for each maintenance task, based on a normal operation and on the objectives of the Maintenance function. Analyzes with Maintenance Manager and Inspectors vibration spectrums/oil analysis for the equipment in order to timely detect and/or to avoid equipment deterioration, and take actions when equipment needs attention or repairs. Record, analyze, and trend all data taken during critical equipment PM: a. Gear and Pinion profiles b. Gear root to tip clearances, contact, backlash, run-outs on all open gears c. Trunnion Bearings clearances on Kiln and Mills d. Liner thickness e. Shell thickness on Kiln and Mills/Weld seams inspections f. Chain elongation measurements Responsible for RCA (Root Cause Analysis) studies after failures of main equipment. Lead weekly RCA (Root Cause Analysis) meeting, follow-up actions, and send report to plant management. Collaborate with Maintenance Manager about the specification of new equipment, assuring Reliability of Operation and the lowest life cycle cost and to inform about design problems or incorrect selection of equipment. Analysis of equipment uptimes and corrective actions to improve performance.Generate pareto graphs for main equipment failures analysis. Provide technical support and follow-up to major and highly specialized Maintenance jobs.Ensure after all equipment repairs vibration/oil analysis is taken to verify the quality of the repair, and have a baseline of the equipment for future references. Participate actively on the generation of the weekly schedule with Maintenance Planner to ensure all repairs to equipment that need to be planned are scheduled properly. Meet with Production each day to review downtime reports. Update logs for vibrations and tribology. Responsible of tracking oil consumption and generation of requisitions for oils and grease needed Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

A bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering, is preferred. Minimum of 1 to 3 years as a mechanical or reliability engineer or 3 to 5 years as a technician in mining or cement manufacturing. 0 to 5 years of previous mechanical field experience in cement or related heavy industry. Vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, root cause analysis, oil analysis, project management, thermography, precision alignment (preferred). Knowledge of Excel, PPT, AutoCAD, SAP, Project Management, Collect vibration with an Azima analyzer, Collect thermal data with a Flir. Work Environment:

Plant | 70% | of time | Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations, dust. Office | 30% | of time | Computer Work, Record Keeping, WO's, numerical analysis, failure analysis, contractor and vendor relations. Work under very stressful conditions and stay very focused and calm. Walk around the plant, climb stairs, and use ladders. Exposure to noise, dust, and heat. Lift over 20 lbs of equipment and parts. Working at Heights and confined spaces.
