SeaCa Plastic Packaging LLC, a Seattle-Tacoma Box Company is seeking a skilled
Maintenance Electrician
to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the electrical systems that power our manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure. While this is a specialized electrical role, it is also hands-on and collaborative, requiring a solid understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
We are looking for candidates with strong electrical troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to equipment reliability. Training is provided to support continued career development. A flexible schedule is required, and this position is essential to supporting production.
Shifts Available:
Sun – Tues/Weds
| 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Weds/Thurs – Sat
| 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to production machinery, including motors, sensors, VFDs, PLCs, and control panels
Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting systems, and electrical components in accordance with NEC and OSHA standards
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and machine manuals
Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as needed to support full equipment functionality
Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems and document findings
Complete and document work orders using internal systems
Understand and apply Lockout/Tagout and other safety procedures consistently
Recommend parts, tools, or equipment necessary for repairs or improvements
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Collaborate with maintenance and production team members to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Remain onsite or ensure issues are addressed before leaving during critical breakdowns
Adhere to all company policies and safety rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Requirements:
5+ years of technical training and hands-on electrical maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of 3-phase motors, electrical control systems, and industrial equipment
Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems (Allen Bradley )
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
Understanding of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards
Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a flexible schedule
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certificate or college coursework in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Technology
Journeyman-level experience or equivalent
Experience:
Electrical troubleshooting: 2+ years (Required)
Mechanical repair knowledge: 1+ year ()
PLC/VFD experience: 1+ year ()
Manufacturing environment exposure: 2+ years ()
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and push/pull at least 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, or stoop for extended periods
Comfortable working in hot, cold, dusty, humid, or noisy conditions
Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment when needed
