Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. The Jupiter team has a long history of successful ventures in the power industry and commenced development of both its project pipeline and proprietary software technology in 2017. In 2019, Jupiter partnered with a leading private equity firm to roll out its project portfolio and will complete construction of its first assets this year.
Jupiter Power seeks an office-based Assistant Project Manager (APM) who will support utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Projects and Substation Projects. The APM is the CEO of his or her assigned projects and in charge of Project Safety, Scheduling, the Projects Budget, Contract Management, and Construction Quality, conforming to Jupiter Power's expectations.
The Assistant Project Manager will be expected to travel to project sites as needed, but will otherwise be based out of the Company's Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or Chicago, IL offices, adhering to our return-to-office policy requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Familiarity with Project Management processes including Budgeting, Contract Negotiations, Change Orders, and Scheduling software; PMP certification is a plus.
Knowledge of Construction safety (OSHA 30 training certificate is a plus)
At least 2 years of Construction experience, including on-site work
Valid driver's license and eligibility for corporate vehicle insurance
Ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel
Key Responsibilities
Planning:
Support project design, coordinate engineering resources, participate in project kick-offs and close-out meetings, ensure safety protocols, assist with schedule recovery, support RFIs, and engage landowners. Safety Accountabilities:
Lead by example, enforce safety practices, conduct Job Hazard Analyses, ensure SOP adherence, and provide safety training. EPC Relationship Management:
Manage project delivery and maintain strong EPC relationships. Budget:
Oversee project budget, costs, forecasts, procurement, and materials management. Contract:
Monitor EPC compliance, review change orders, make field purchases, understand contractual obligations, and communicate main contract terms to subcontractors. Compensation & Benefits $110,000 - $130,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary, influenced by position requirements and candidate qualifications.
