We are seeking a skilledMechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in HVAC design and knowledge of plumbing systems (a plus). This role is part of a collaborative design-build team that integrates engineering, design, and construction under one roof. You will contribute to the full project lifecyclefrom concept through completionhelping deliver high-quality, cost-effective projects with a streamlined and collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
Design HVAC systems for commercial and institutional projects; provide plumbing design support as needed.
Develop construction documents including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Participate in design-build meetings to coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines.
Assist with load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork, and piping layouts.
Support cost estimating, budgeting, and value engineering efforts.
Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings during construction to ensure design intent.
Work closely with field teams to address design challenges and optimize installation efficiency.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
EIT certification ; PE license is a plus.
Minimum of35 years of mechanical design experience in HVAC; plumbing design experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and energy codes.
Proficiency inRevit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across design and construction teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
