Overview:

As the Conference Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing group events turned over by the Sales Department. In addition, you will also monitor all contractual agreements pertaining to guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage requirements and special concessions, produce and distribute convention resumes and BEOs, and accurately forecast group rooms and food and beverage revenues. In this position, you will serve as a liaison between the client and various hotel departments while effectively communicating any information necessary to successfully execute the group's needs and maintaining a good client relationship.

Assist the entire Catering & Conference Service team in training within CI, Profitsword and MGS system Assist in handling all VIP group (CAM, Sports, Corporate) that require an elevated member of the team to service the events Facilitate all aspects of the conference/event including, but not limited to, banquet functions and meeting room arrangements with the meeting planner/client The Senior Conference Service Manager will serve as the liaison between the meeting planner/client and the hotel, ensuring that all information has been communicated correctly Responsibly Prepares and reviews resumes for groups Ensures all departments receive necessary information pertaining to the Events and Conference Partners with the culinary team to create customized menus to fit client's needs as well as increase food and beverage revenues Verify contracted banquet meeting rooms in order to guarantee proper space has been assigned and that meeting rooms can accommodate requested set-ups Accurately forecasts Food, Beverage and Rental monthly, quarterly and annually and ensures information is in line with CI/TY Create and roll out an initiative to promote higher ESS responses and scores Forecasting (understanding the upsell percentages and other variables that can affect the overall forecast to budget reporting) Understanding P&L statements and attendee monthly P&L meetings Working within CI to implement better practices for menus & event orders Work alongside the DoC&CS to create an elevated on-boarding process that promotes team work, balance and a smooth transition into the employees new role Learn monthly reporting structure and due dates Work with DOC/CS and DOS on budget planning Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Area Director of Sales. All other duties as assigned.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
