Description: Need two HVAC maintenance Mechanics on first shift.. Temp to perm roles.
1.Position Summary.
Under occasional supervision; identifies, analyzes, plans, and completes all preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and adjustments of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, temperature control, and other related equipment. Ensures daily work requests and projects are completed through individual or cooperative efforts. Organizes and prioritizes assigned work, identifies, assesses, plans, executes, and documents all preventive maintenance, repair, adjustments, and installations of assigned equipment. Responsible for compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes, Company and Department policies/standards, and related technical specifications. Communicates with management, customers, peers, and subordinates on equipment operation and function. Maintain tools, and keeps work areas in a clean safe and orderly manor.
2. Essential Job Functions Perform extensive preventive maintenance on all HVAC related equipment. Inspect equipment for proper operation, look for worn and loose parts, replace filters, lubricate, clean equipment, and makes proper adjusts when needed. Provide direction to other maintenance staff assisting you. Apply technical knowledge, system logs, and appropriate test equipment to anticipate, identify, and isolate unusual system failures.
Respond with urgency, notify impacted customers, safely and efficiently diagnose failure using appropriate tools, software, and experience. Repair or replace damaged parts, test operation, put unit back in service, and again notify customers of the status. When parts need to be ordered, carefully identify them and notify maintenance management of the status. Work may get passed around the shifts until completed.
Observe HVAC and related operations and systems for efficient operations. Provide ideas to improve efficiencies to management in writing. Keep up to date on latest trends and technologies to help reduce cost and improve equipment reliability. Create workorder requests when repairs or adjustments are needed to keep records of equipment history and cost.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized mechanical rooms. Complete appropriate paperwork in a proper manor for purchasing, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components. Ensure workorders contain appropriate and accurate information before completing the workorder. Participate in planned coverage for HVAC related emergency call service.
Functional Skills: Able to read and write, understand and interpret blue prints, technical manuals, and other documents. Metal fabrication, system air balancing, solder, pneumatic and electrical control. Working knowledge of HVAC Control software (Client, Tour and Andersons, etc), HVAC related equipment, tools, controls, and overall system functionality. Responsible to, maintain and repair Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning related equipment including but not limited to: Air Handling Units, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Pumps, Motors, Valves, Heat Exchangers, Controls, Compressors, Kitchen Equipment, and Steam Traps. Proper maintenance is necessary to ensure the most efficient operation, provide excellent customer service through equipment reliability, and to maximize the useful life of the equipment. The goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for employees and visitors, and to provide reliable utilities and plant related services to support production attainment goals
