Principal Structural Engineer

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking candidates for a full-time Mid-Level Principal Structural Engineer. Responsibilities include: Design and construction administration for water and wastewater treatment projects. Production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans, and specifications for Water / Wastewater projects, including plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, stormwater systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems. Participation in construction administration services, including submittal review, responding to RFI’s, and clarifications during construction. Requirements: Effective communication skills and ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment. Experience in design and construction of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and aluminum structures. Knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards such as ACI and AISC, and structural analysis and design software. Strong structural analysis and design skills. Experience with water and wastewater systems, including designing, reviewing, and approving project drawings and specifications. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET-accredited institution. Passed the PE exam.
