Overview
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking candidates for a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer.
Responsibilities
Work on design and construction administration for water and wastewater treatment projects. Responsible for the production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans, and specifications for Water / Wastewater projects including plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, stormwater systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems.
Participate in construction administration services for similar projects including submittal review, responding to RFIs, and clarifications during construction.
Qualifications
Effective communicator and able to work in a multi-discipline team environment.
Experience in design and construction of structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and aluminum structures; knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards including ACI and AISC, and structural analysis and design software. Strong structural analysis and design skills and experience with structural design software is required.
Experience with water and wastewater systems; experience designing, preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings and specifications for water or wastewater projects.
Between 5 to 10 years of experience; BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET-accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or successful completion of the PE exam.
