Greentek is seeking an experienced and proactive
Financial Controller
to lead and manage our finance and accounting operations. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee day-to-day financial functions, supervise accounting and payroll staff, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, a deep understanding of QuickBooks, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise the finance department, including bookkeepers and payroll staff
• Oversee daily accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Maintain accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes
• Generate internal financial reports and support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure the integrity of financial records and internal controls
• Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings and annual audits
• Optimize use of QuickBooks and other financial tools to streamline processes
• Identify opportunities to improve financial procedures, cost controls, and reporting accuracy
• Support strategic planning and decision-making by providing actionable financial insights Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, including team leadership
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll systems, and financial compliance
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Preferred Experience
• Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
• Experience in construction, vegetation management, or field service industries
• Multi-location or multi-entity accounting experience
