Welder - TIG AL and Stainless
We are in need of a TIG Welder for AL tubes and Stainless fabrications. You will be responsible for performing precision welding on complex cryogenic equipment and systems. Specific welding for this application will require adherence to strict quality, safety, and ASME code standards for use in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) and industrial gases industries.

Key responsibilities
Perform high-quality, code-compliant Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG) on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel components. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents to plan welding layouts and procedures. Use manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to assemble components in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead. Set up and align parts for welding using measuring tools like rulers and calipers. Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare parts for welding. Inspect, measure, and test completed welds to ensure conformance to specifications and to identify any flaws. Maintain welding equipment in a safe and operational condition. Be willing and able to perform other shop duties as needed, such as grinding, cutting, and assembly. Requirements and qualifications
Experience : A minimum of 2-5 years of welding experience is typically required, with a strong emphasis on aluminum and stainless steel. Certifications : Professional certifications, such as an AWS welding certificate, are preferred. The ability to pass specific welding tests, like a 6G GTAW pipe test, is often mandatory. Skills : Proficiency in GTAW (TIG) and sometimes GMAW (MIG) welding techniques. Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints. High level of precision and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Work environment : Welders work in a manufacturing or warehouse setting and may need to perform physical activities like climbing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and being on their feet for extended periods. Education : A high school diploma or GED is generally the minimum educational requirement.
Job Specifics:
Pay: $25 to $30/hr. DOE Location: Zip 77040 Schedule: 5AM to 4:30PM Mon-Thurs Friday 5AM to 3PM with regular Satrudays required. PPE: Steel toes and must have your own welding PPE. Qualification requirements: Weld test, must be willing to submit for background check and oral drug test.
