Job Description
A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production and non-production equipment by performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. This role is well-suited for
military veterans , whose technical training, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety provide a strong foundation for success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Perform
repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in accordance with established standards. Manage
equipment calibrations, programmable device configurations, and system hardware
to resolve issues, improve reliability, reduce downtime, and support productivity enhancements. Assist with
process validation, tooling, and package development testing
to drive organizational efficiency and process improvements. Collaborate with
engineering and cross-functional teams
to ensure downtime is communicated effectively and solutions align with production needs and company goals. Generate
daily work logs and track work orders , ensuring accurate reporting and proper use of department resources. Ensure compliance with all
safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Perform other duties as assigned to support operational success. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent. 5+ years of electro-mechanical experience
(military or civilian), ideally in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to
analyze, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of equipment. Demonstrated working knowledge of
electrical, mechanical, and control systems
used in factory automation. Ability to read
electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
and apply knowledge to operating systems up to
3Ph and 480Vac. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to
multi-task
effectively. Effective
verbal and written communication
skills. Proficient with
PCs and Microsoft Office programs. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in
Electromechanical Technology
or a related field. Working knowledge of
electrical circuits, PLC troubleshooting, repair, and programming. Experience with
Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Journeyman certification in mechanical or electrical trades. Benefits
