ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Floating Mechanic to support operations in the Aggregate Division located in Denver, CO. The qualified incumbent will travel primarily thorough Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littelton,with potential for travel to any surrounding Denver city. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a variety of fixed plant equipment to include welders, motors, pumps, crushers, conveyor belts, ducting, screens and screen bearings, as well as the operation of multiple pieces of equipment in support of operations and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Routinely walks the plant to inspect mechanical equipment and parts and systems in need of repair or replacement. Operates a variety of heavy and light equipment and machines to inspect related products. Perform a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, welding, cutting, and grinding; use of mobile and auxiliary equipment. Assists in keeping the work area clean and organized. Assists with daily and pre-startup inspections following instructions and forms in need of repair. May perform light maintenance on electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic systems. Operates a variety of hand tools, power tools, and other measuring and testing devices. Responsible for minor vehicle safety inspections on vehicle promptly and in accordance with proper procedures. Adheres to all environmental and safety regulations. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Education:

High school diploma or equivalent Heavy Equipment Operator experience: 2-3 years minimum High attention to detail Problem solving skills Ability to lift/carry materials of 10-60 lbs. Ability to work in confined spaces without limitations Ability to lift 50lbs

Additional Requirements: Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
