Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Newport, MN. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on welding and fabrication experience who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and custom work. You'll be fabricating a variety of stainless steel components for commercial kitchens and food service environments.
Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to execute precise fabrication and welding work Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals; knowledge of MIG, spot, and wire feed welding a plus Cut, form, and join metal parts using fabrication equipment and shop tools Work independently to build custom products such as counters, cabinets, and breath guards Ensure proper fit, alignment, and finish of welded components Use measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances Maintain tools and welding equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance Collaborate with engineers, designers, and teammates to meet project specs and timelines Participate in training and cross-training across departments to increase versatility Follow all safety policies and company procedures Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical degree or certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred Experience with TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication required Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and flat layout drawings Familiarity with press brake forming, bend allowances, and welding sequences preferred Excellent attention to detail and quality standards Good communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in a custom manufacturing environment is a plus
