We are looking for a talented and experienced TIG Welder Fabricator to join our custom manufacturing team in Newport, MN. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in welding and fabrication, along with a strong capability to interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings. This role involves overseeing welding projects with a focus on precision and high-quality output, while also collaborating with team members and ensuring that custom-made components meet stringent standards.

As a TIG Welder Fabricator, your job responsibilities include:

Welding Fabrication

Perform and execute TIG welding techniques on different materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel

Fabricate metal components and assemblies by cutting, shaping, and joining metal parts according to specifications

Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner

Blueprint Interpretation

Comprehend and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine precise specifications for welding and fabrication tasks

Utilizing precision measuring instruments and gauges to guarantee compliance with design specifications and requirements

Quality and Collaboration

Inspect finished components for compliance with design specifications and quality standards

Perform routine checks and adjustments to maintain welding parameters and ensure high-quality welds

Partner with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure that custom projects are completed to client specifications and within project timelines

Provide input on design improvements and suggest solutions to fabrication challenges.

Ability to be cross trained in more than one area

Ability to work well with others

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or related education

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Experience with metal working tools and equipment

Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt swiftly to changing circumstances

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work well with others

Technical degree in welding fabrication preferred

Experience in a custom manufacturing site preferred

Experience in TIG welding

Compensation & Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $25.50 - $31 per hour ($53,040 - $64,480) per year. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
