Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant supports patients and providers in fast-paced specialty practices in Western Massachusetts. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, collecting specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment. Our offices are located in Agawam, Chicopee, and Springfield. We are hiring for multiple shifts and specialties, including: Primary Care/Internal Medicine Pediatrics OBGYN Plastic Surgery Endocrinology Gastroenterology Urology Nephrology Radiology Pulmonary Breast Surgery Neurosurgery Vascular and Thoracic Surgery And more.... What you will do: Prepares exam and treatment rooms. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Obtains pertinent history, enters into the medical record including chief complaint, medical and surgical history, allergies, medications, and appropriate review of systems, and takes/documents patient vital signs. Processes and files all lab/diagnostic test results, correspondence, clinical notes in patients' chart after they have been reviewed by the physician. Coordinates patient flow in the office. Collaborates with receptionist to make certain that patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner. Assists front office personnel by answering the telephone, scheduling patient appointments, and other tasks as needed. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required! Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience is required Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate's Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred, National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus Position Highlights and Benefits: Day Shift Great benefits effective day 1!
