SourcePro Search is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Trusts & Estates Paralegal
to support a prestigious law firm's New York-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a T&E paralegal who enjoys complex estate administration and values working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role offers a hybrid schedule and exposure to sophisticated trusts and estates matters for high-net-worth clients.
What You'll Do: Manage all aspects of
estate administration , including preparing and filing probate/administration petitions, collecting and valuing assets, and processing bequests Assist with the preparation of
estate planning documents
such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives Prepare and file
federal and state estate tax returns , including IRS Form 706 and applicable state filings Form
LLCs , apply for
EINs , and prepare
Receipt and Release Agreements Review and assist with
fiduciary accountings
for estates and trusts Maintain
calendars and deadlines
for estate administration and planning matters Ensure efficient handling of filings with Surrogate's Courts and other government agencies What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience
in a law firm setting Deep knowledge of
estate administration, trust administration, and estate tax preparation Proficiency with
Microsoft Office
and experience with
One Source (FPS) ,
HotDocs , and
Surrogate's Court
electronic filing systems Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact with attorneys, clients, and financial advisors A team-oriented, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure Flexibility to work overtime when necessary A high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all work
