Assistant/Manager Application Delivery

Job Responsibilities
Perform delivery of projects and enhancements in support of the university's enterprise systems, providing guidance to application developers including business analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. Assist with implementing reporting and analysis solutions. Guide application developers on complex business systems analysis, software development, and information systems implementations and integrations to ensure successful project delivery. Manage multiple assignments under deadlines independently with minimal supervision. Collaborate with other teams within the Information Services & Technology division to solve ad-hoc information management issues using current technologies. Assess solution complexity, plan, and manage application delivery, guiding technical team members and managing task dependencies. Lead the assessment, installation, configuration, integration, deployment, and support of ERP and third-party applications, including cloud platforms. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to application developers, perform hands-on technical tasks, and collaborate to resolve technical issues. Respond to incidents, outages, and service requests promptly, collaborating with team members, partners, and vendors. Ensure system integrity through audits, change control, test plans, and code reviews. Work with the Manager of Architecture and Integration to ensure new software integrations meet requirements and standards. Oversee daily project activities, liaise with team members, management, and campus partners to ensure timely delivery. Identify risks and develop contingency plans. Research and propose system enhancements, vendor solutions, and automation to meet business needs, documenting rationale. Participate in peer reviews, support deployment, and assist in migrating legacy applications. Maintain quality standards by following best practices and standards. Perform additional duties including after-hours and weekend support as needed. Minimum Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience in a related role or as a Software Engineer, with experience in: Configuring and testing student information systems or patient vitals device capture equipment; Supporting IT and enterprise information systems; Developing workflows based on business requirements; Performing user acceptance testing; Reviewing data quality issues; Analyzing and testing system solutions; Providing user support and troubleshooting; Advising staff on system upgrades, releases, and patches; Assisting departments with IT problem-solving.
