People Analytics Machine Learning Product Manager

Our rapidly growing People Analytics team is seeking an accomplished Machine Learning Product Manager who has demonstrable experience leading the evolution of analytics products from dashboard-centric solutions (e.g., Tableau) to advanced AI/ML-driven capabilities. With significant new investment in AI at Expedia Group, we are growing our team with forward-thinking leaders who will help us unlock this opportunity. You will play a pivotal role in driving product strategy and development across a broad data and ML platform roadmap. As a manager-level leader, you will collaborate with analytics advisors, machine learning and data engineering teams, and senior business stakeholders to deliver impactful, scalable products that improve business outcomes and employee experiences. In this role you will: Lead the product lifecycle for People Analytics products, with a focus on accelerating our transition from dashboards and BI tools (e.g., Tableau) to AI- and ML-powered solutions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including machine learning engineers, data engineers, analytics advisors, and business stakeholders, to identify requirements and deliver ML-powered solutions. Translate stakeholder needs and business objectives into clear product requirements, keeping user experience and business impact at the center. Drive end-to-end delivery of Analytical and ML products: from ideation to requirement specification, launch, and ongoing iteration. Identify and resolve product and data platform blockers, partnering with technical teams to enable smooth delivery and scalability of ML solutions. Stay up to date on trends in ML, People Analytics, and AI-driven product development. Develop success metrics and use data-driven insights to iterate and improve products post-launch. Communicate product concepts, roadmaps, and results effectively to senior stakeholders in both technical and non-technical audiences. Champion adoption of AI/ML best practices and user-centered design in all People Analytics products. Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills to influence stakeholders. Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics), or equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience in product management or product development, with a demonstrated track record of delivering analytics/ML/AI products. Strong preference for LLM and RAG model experience. Proven record of transitioning products and users from traditional BI/dashboard solutions to ML/AI-driven capabilities. Proficiency in SQL and Python required. Deep understanding of data pipelines, ML workflows, data governance, and operationalizing ML models. Strong BI experience. Tableau and TabPy especially is a plus. Experience working within People Analytics, HR analytics, or related domains preferred. Familiarity with HR technology platforms and data a plus (e.g., Workday, Employee Surveys). Excellent communication skills, able to synthesize complex technical details and business needs for diverse audiences. Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a growth mindset. Demonstrated ability to drive clarity and progress across ambiguity, especially in data/ML platform or infrastructure unblocking scenarios. Please note that this role is only available in Seattle (preferred) and New York, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role. The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
