Position Summary The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that all nutritional products developed and marketed by our client comply with applicable regulatory requirements in both domestic and international markets. This position requires strong knowledge of U.S. dietary supplement regulations, international product registration processes, and experience supporting cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and maintain regulatory documentation for dietary supplements and functional foods in compliance with U.S. and global regulations. Review and approve product labels, packaging, marketing materials, and claims to ensure compliance with FDA, FTC, DSHEA, and other relevant guidelines. Provide regulatory guidance to internal and client-facing teams during product development, innovation, and commercialization. Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes (U.S. and international) and advise stakeholders of impacts to product lines or processes Manage international product registrations and compliance with local regulations (e.g., Health Canada, EU, ASEAN, etc.). Evaluate new ingredients and formulations for regulatory compliance and support scientific substantiation for product claims. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Legal, and Marketing teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support inspections, audits, and regulatory submissions. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, Food Science, Biology, or a related field (Master's preferred). 3-5+ years of regulatory experience in the dietary supplement, food, or nutraceutical industries. Solid understanding of FDA regulations (21 CFR 111, 101, 117), FTC requirements, and DSHEA. Familiarity with international regulatory environments and product registration processes. Strong attention to detail, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting a client brand.
