Administrative Assistant
provides comprehensive administrative support to the Florida Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys (CSSBMB), contributing to the efficient execution of its programs, meetings, and legislative duties. Based at Florida Memorial University, this role involves coordination with Council members, institutional leadership, and the broader community. The position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to help advance the Council's mission of improving outcomes for Black men and boys across the state.
Essential Functions:
Provide administrative support to the Council and its Executive Director. Answer telephones and serve as a liaison between Council members. Manage all logistics for Council meetings and teleconferences, including agendas, meeting minutes, room reservations, signage, presenter coordination, and reminder emails. Maintain communication with community participants and keep them informed of Council activities. Complete assigned research and writing tasks from Council members in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain and update the Council's website content as needed Assist in the development and editing of the Council's Annual Report. Compose, review, and process official business correspondence on behalf of the Council. Minimum Requirements:
Five years of secretarial or administrative work experience An associate's degree or 60 college credit hours and two years of secretarial or administrative work experience A bachelor's degree and one year of secretarial or administrative work experience Vocational/technical training in secretarial science or office/business studies may substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for up to two years of the required experience Pre-Employment Requirements:

$42, 000 - $45,000
