ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (Civil Litigation)

Job Duties
As a civil litigation Associate Attorney, your role is dynamic and engaging, offering a perfect mix of independent responsibilities and collaborative teamwork. You will manage your own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines. Your days will be enriched by preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials, granting you invaluable courtroom experience. Collaboration is crucial in this role, where you'll engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies. Clear and regular communication with clients will be essential, as you provide them with updates and interim status reports on their cases. Additionally, you'll conduct in-depth legal research, preparing memoranda to bolster case strategies, while working alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management. This multifaceted position promises a fulfilling career path in the legal field. Qualifications :
A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New Hampshire State Bar are essential prerequisites. At least one (1) year of prior civil litigation experience and experience in both New Hampshire state and federal courts. A self-starter with strong advocacy skills. Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests, is crucial. Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions will also be part of your role, making attention to detail and effective communication key attributes for success in this position.
