Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an experienced
Civil Litigation Defense Attorney , to join our winning team in Manchester. Our candidate of choice will manage their own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines. You will be handling Professional Liability / Tort and Liability Defense / Workers’ Compensation cases. This is a hybrid role! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS: A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New Hampshire State Bar, are essential prerequisites. Our target candidate has between 1-4 years of prior civil litigation experience and experience in both New Hampshire state and federal courts. You should be a self-starter with strong advocacy skills. Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests, is crucial. You should have previous experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions will also be part of your role, making attention to detail and effective communication are key attributes for success in this position. Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, granting you invaluable courtroom experience.
