Role Overview

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to manage stock purchasing and pricing accuracy for our convenience store. You'll ensure correct inventory levels, accurate price tags, and up-to-date pricebook records to maximize sales and reduce shrink.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with sales targets and seasonal trends

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and delivery

Monitor inventory levels, analyze sales data, and adjust orders to prevent stock-outs or overstocking

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, vendor info, and pricing information

Verify shelf prices and tags-regularly audit shelves to ensure tags match the pricebook and invoices, correct any discrepancies promptly

Collaborate with store management on product needs, promotions, merchandising priorities, and pricing actions

Participate in product research-evaluate new items, attend industry events (e.g., NACS), and stay current on market trends

What You Bring

High school diploma required; Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred

1-3 years of purchasing, inventory, retail, or pricing experience-bonus if in convenience or grocery retail

Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills

Data-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel and/or inventory or pricing software

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Ability to work under deadlines, manage shifting priorities, and handle occasional early hours
