Front Desk Support Specialist
FurstStaffing is looking for a Front Desk Support Specialist. The Front Desk Support Specialist is the first point of contact for guests and clients. This role provides administrative and customer service support, ensures the front desk is professionally managed, and helps coordinate essential communication between clients and program staff. The ideal candidate will be organized, approachable, and deeply committed to providing excellent service in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and must be bilingual. Hours: 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri. Pay: $17.50 Benefits: Furst Benefits Essential Job Functions: Provide friendly, welcoming, and professional service to all guests and callers Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, routing calls, checking voicemail, and greeting walk-ins Assist with mail scanning, logging, and filing processes Prepare and send application packets upon request Maintain accurate records and logs; check and date-stamp drop box items daily Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, and guest areas Assist in training staff on front desk operations as needed Communicate respectfully and impartially with families about their child care options Keep up-to-date on agency programs, policies, and procedures Perform other duties as assigned by the CCAP Supervisor or CEO Requirements: Associate Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent education/work experience (2 full years in social work, customer service, data entry, or related fields) Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience Must be bilingual Strong knowledge of local community resources Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Proficiency with computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) Ability to type at least 30 words per minute Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks (sit, stand, bend, twist) Valid Illinois drivers license and vehicle insurance If you are interested in the Front Desk Support Specialist, please apply here.
