Your Role at a Glance Performing detailed patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic procedures, and developing tailored care plans Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either in partnership with physicians or autonomously depending on your qualifications Providing education to patients and families about preventive measures, wellness, and disease management Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your scope of expertise Participating in patient follow-up initiatives and chronic care programs Working with multidisciplinary teams to assure continuity and comprehensive patient care Accurately documenting patient information within electronic medical records (EMR) What You Will Need
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty credential Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days) Skills That Shine
