Summary of Duties:

This position requires strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent writing capability, and experience with graphics and proposal processes. The Business Development Associate is responsible for the marketing, sales, and strategic growth of the company. Business Development (BD) Manager identifies and develops business opportunities from start to completion to meet target goals, build long-term client relationships, acquire new customers, and selling additional services to existing ones to expand and diversify the clientele portfolio. The BD Manager priorities are to increase company revenue and maximize profits.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assist CEO in developing strategic growth plans; refine all business development processes, to include recommending necessary technology, resources, and budget/bonus structure in coordination with finance/executive team Oversee, manage, and perform all business development tasks - identify opportunity, capture, prepare/submit proposals - track from start to completion Provide weekly summaries every Friday to the CEO, President, and CRO/EVP; weekly reports will Include Who, What, When, Where, and Why and return of investment of Advantage SCI dollars Generate a detailed annual operating budget and plan. Ensure company maintains all necessary accounts/portals to develop and maintain business i.e., SAM registration, SDVOSB certs, GSA Schedule, e-Buy, GOVWIN, FBO, CPARS, etc Maintain customer communications and continuously update marketing and branding materials (including website), advertising campaigns, publicity releases, and promotional activities Assist with all proposal preparation/submission requirements, all BD documents and technical/pricing reviews; identify pricing consultants, temp hires, consultants, graphic support, or future employees as needed Prepare compliant technical and pricing proposals - based on Shipley training, conduct salary surveys, conduct market research, develop and implements price to win and "win" strategies Educate other Advantage SCI proposal support staff on Shipley Institute "proposal and capture" management methods and best practices Work with partners and subcontractors to help manage timely Task Order Responses on current contracts Ensure all proposals and task order deliverables meet quality and RFP/RFQ compliance Recommend bid/no-bid decision for both, strategic growth and controlling size for certain NAICS codes including a requirement to maintain business size for certain certifications and current small business contracts Assist with pipeline and expansion of business in intelligence, counterintelligence, and national security arenas Advise management on developing/launching new products, services through current or new distribution channels Work closely with other Business Development team members, pricing manager, coordinator, SMEs for proposals; write proposal sections as required; ensure processes are well documented and well organized on the shared drive and easily trackable or retrievable Review, and edit Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Contracts, Subcontracts and other business-related documents. Serve as liaison to teaming partners on teaming opportunities Obtains/maintains a security clearance, if required for certain national security opportunities in the intelligence community. Strengthen the company's Business Development effectiveness by training, coaching, mentoring, and creating an environment that inspires others to contribute and take personal ownership for achieving business goals. Be a visionary with a demonstrated ability to envision the end solution and architect the actions necessary to achieve the solution Prepare plans and schedules for approval for attendance or travel to industry functions/conferences/events Identify opportunities, leads, and points of contacts to market our services. Research, analyze, and track new business opportunities on GOVWIN, GSA portal, etc.; review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFI), Sources Sought for bid/no-bid decisions in alignment with strategic growth plans.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Experience and Skills Minimum Requirements:

U.S. Citizen BA/BS (preferred) or Associates degree +6 additional years' experience in related field Business Development, capture, proposals, marketing experience Four to six years of experience including working on the corporate staff of a government or defense contracting firm Specific knowledge of and skill of Shipley Training Working Conditions:

Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis Able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally Noise level: Low to moderate
