PAY RANGE: $101,600.00 - $120,000.00 ANNUALLY

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Community Outreach Program Manager is an energetic and purpose-driven leader who advances Golden 1 Credit Union's mission by leading charitable giving initiatives and maximizing relationships in the communities served by Golden 1. As an ambassador for Golden 1, this position will build relationships with external community stakeholders as well as internal partners.

The Senior Community Outreach Program Manager will manage charitable giving programs, nonprofit sponsorships, as well as community engagement and partnership cultivation to increase brand awareness, membership growth, and ensure that programs and activities align with Golden 1's mission, vision, and core values.

The position requires constant evaluation of community relations efforts, identifying insights and learnings, and recommending improvements through ongoing, constructive dialogue with senior leadership and key colleagues.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS: Responsible for managing the Community Grant cycle, from application and selection to monitoring and evaluation with the assistance of a third-party vendor. Providing guidance, technical assistance, and capacity-building support to ensure success. Building relationships with all local organizations throughout the cycle. Responsible for managing the entire Scholarship cycle, with the assistance of a third-party vendor, from outreach promotion to application and selection to award distribution and recipient engagement. Review all sponsorship requests from internal and external partners to determine that the request betters the communities we serve and exemplify Golden 1 Credit Union's community outreach pillars and core values of service excellence, integrity, respect, and financial stability. Oversee and execute nonprofit event sponsorships. Evaluate requests and make recommendations, execute sponsorships, and maximize partnership potential with requesting organizations. Includes activating all sponsorship benefits such as attendance management, advertisement development, and other benefits assigned. Encourage, motivate, and recognize employee giving through the Golden 1 Foundation and through employee giving campaigns/drives. Encourage a culture of giving and community impact. Provide support to the Executive team, in coordination with the SVP-Community Impact and Public Relations and Director-Community Impact to facilitate meaningful service opportunities in the community. This includes managing partnerships and activities that enable leadership to cultivate and enhance relationships with targeted external audiences. Foster relationships with community partners throughout California and help develop community outreach strategies to create a positive reputation and impact in the community at large. Foster connection and collaboration amongst these partners. Upload and disseminate opportunities for employees throughout the state to participate in outreach at community events. Assist with the planning and execution of Golden 1's Community Impact strategy to ensure the needs of the diverse communities served by Golden 1 are realized. Identify and engage with new strategic community partners, that exemplify Golden 1 Credit Union's community outreach pillars and core values of integrity, reliability, inclusion, service, and excellence. Collaborate with Retail, Human Resources, Marketing, and other internal partners to identify the event opportunities that align with their goals and to enact initiatives that advance corporate giving initiatives. Collaborate with Community Impact team members to reach team impact goals. Provide accurate, timely and insightful reporting related to these activities. This includes periodic reviews and analyses of outcomes, impact, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position. Assist with research and create reports for charitable giving initiatives and yearly budget planning as needed. Perform other assignments as required. PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:

Effective oral and written communication skills required to represent Golden 1 at community events. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone. EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or related field. EXPERIENCE:

Minimum seven (7) years of experience relevant to partnerships and/or community engagement required. Experience with grantmaking preferred. Experience with financial services a plus. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

Strong attention to detail, consistency and responsiveness. Knowledge and understanding of the communities served by Golden 1, particularly underserved communities. Strong drive and focus to maximize the positive community impact Golden 1 can achieve. Ability to represent Golden 1 professionally at community events. Flexibility to travel as needed (expected travel 10%). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must reside within the territory and market region they support. Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required. Corrected vision within the normal range. Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed. Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc. Work hours will include some evenings and weekends as needed to attend community events.
