Job Summary:

The Manager of Community Relations serves as a vital bridge between Witham Health Services and our community. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring a strong relationship between our health system and our community through outreach, brand visibility, communications, and engagement. This person excels at building relationships, coordinating events, and maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders

The Manager of Community Relations strengthens Witham Health Services' connection to the community through outreach, visibility, communications, engagement, and relationship-building.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience:

Five years of experience in marketing, community relations, or public relations roles. ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Outreach

Build and nurture relationships with community partners, local organizations, and manage sponsorships aligned with organizational goals. Create opportunities for Witham healthcare providers and other representatives to speak at community events. Sponsorship and Donation Management

Manage the community sponsorship and donation request process. Work with the sponsorship committee to select sponsorships then respond to requests and ensure sponsorship benefits are used, and value is maximized from participation in community events. Ensure adherence to budget and return on investment. Community Visibility and Support

Negotiate, maintain, and renew contracts for naming rights or signage for visible structures within the community - supporting community organizations that share Witham's mission and values. Community E-Newsletter

Create, curate, and distribute a monthly community-focused email newsletter highlighting news, events, and resources. Positive Public Relations

Write and publish press releases for community events, sponsorships, charitable giving, and other promotional activities and serve as Media Contact for these releases. Physical Signage & Marketing Displays :

Maintain physical signage and marketing displays across Witham properties according to brand standards and community needs. Event Planning & Management

Coordinate and manage events-from concept to execution-including logistics, setup, and post-event follow-up. Represent Witham at internal employee and external community events, conferences and networking functions to raise brand awareness and foster relationships with stakeholders. Assist with Witham Foundation events as necessary. Team Engagement

Engage with the internal Witham community to promote participation in community relations and marketing activities. Participate in new employee orientation to introduce new employees to the marketing department and opportunities for community engagement. Assist Human Resources in planning and executing employee events. Promotional Items & Giveaways

Select and manage stock of promotional items. With assistance from the Marketing Coordinator, distribute branded merchandise to support outreach and engagement efforts. Community Health Needs Assessment

Ensure that Witham's Community Health Needs Assessment is completed as required every three years and that results are reported to Executive Leadership and the community at large. Email Triage and Response for Contact Us

Handle inbound inquiries via the "Contact Us" portal on the website, ensuring timely and professional responses.
