We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art automation technologies including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Parker-Hannifin controls. Salary:
Up to $81,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Design and create electrical controls and control panels for web handling control systems. Program PLCs, HMIs, and drives. Oversee the construction of control panels. Act as the project manager, overseeing project scope, timelines, and budgets. Commission control systems at client locations globally. Ensure projects meet financial and scheduling requirements. Develop electrical schematics and system layouts. Maintain communication with customers throughout project phases. Present technical details to various stakeholder groups. Participate in budget planning and management processes. Engage in cutting-edge technology projects involving robotic programming and factory automation. Travel domestically four to six weeks annually to support project requirements. Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering. At least 2 years of experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Parker-Hannifin controls. Minimum of 2 years of experience in HMI programming and application. Proven track record with web handling systems. Willingness to travel domestically for up to 6 weeks annually. Strong work history demonstrating reliability and a commitment to career growth. Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder. Reside within a 45 minute commuting distance from the Appleton area. Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced expertise in motion control and complex automation systems. Experience in leading multifaceted engineering projects from conception to completion. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design tools. Skills:
In-depth knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting. Ability to design and interpret electrical circuit diagrams. Project management and leadership skills. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and adapting to changes in the industry. Benefits:
