Clean and prepare surfaces. (Masking, grit blasting or chemical prep) Prepare paints. A high degree of accuracy is required. Use of viscosity cups, thickness gauges and gloss gauges to test makeup of paint and an understanding of chemistry mix of compounds is required. Clean work area. Knowledgeable in the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemical and waste. Maintain equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining paint equipment and troubleshooting. Experience in high-end automotive or industrial equipment paint prepping. Sign industry experience preferred. Painters' only - Previous Experience painting in high-end automotive or industrial equipment environments. Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment Other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Experience in a fast-paced, high-production work environments Read, write, and speak English Self-motivated and work well in a team and independently EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous Paint Prep experience required COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
May be required to stand for long periods of time May involve some repetitive motions Must be able to lift to 75 pounds. May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers Ability to be fitted for a Respirator, both Medically and Physically Will be required to be certified as a Forklift Operator by Pattison ID Will be required to be certified as an Overhead Crane Operator by Pattison ID Others as deemed required by company to be safe for your role. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
