Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician B where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. Working under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, you will gain valuable hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology while contributing to the success of our operations. Main Responsibilities: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems, effectively performing preventative and repair maintenance both on-site and on the road. Repair and maintain chassis components, refuse bodies, and hydraulic and electrical systems. Conduct engine repairs, suspension work, drivetrain, and steering systems maintenance. Address HVAC component issues as needed. Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication tasks. Provide safe and efficient road service to return equipment to operation promptly. Utilize electronic tools to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions. Complete all required company training programs. Assist with additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Basic understanding of work order labor time standards. Experience in maintenance work on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships is beneficial. ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are preferred but not mandatory. Commercial Driver’s License is a plus, but not required. A valid Driver’s License is essential. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician role, demonstrating knowledge in diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel-powered equipment, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months. Ability to conduct basic inspections with limited supervision in various systems, including suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
